Harbaugh acknowledged that learning the Giants’ terminology, protections and offensive system in the middle of a season will be a challenge.

What Happened To J.J. McCarthy In Minnesota?
McCarthy’s Vikings career was repeatedly interrupted before it could gain momentum.

How Unusual Was McCarthy’s Short Vikings Career?
Very unusual for a top-10 quarterback.
According to Elias Sports Bureau data cited by ESPN, McCarthy is one of only four quarterbacks over the past 25 years to start 10 or fewer games for the franchise that drafted him, excluding Eli Manning and Philip Rivers, who were traded immediately after the 2004 draft. [ESPN/ABC7]

What Is The John Harbaugh-J.J. McCarthy Connection?
McCarthy’s college coach at Michigan was Jim Harbaugh.

Arizona selected Josh Rosen No. 10 overall in 2018 — the same draft position at which Minnesota selected McCarthy.
The Cardinals drafted Kyler Murray first overall the following year and traded Rosen to Miami for a second-round pick and a future fifth-round selection.
